Pokemon pearl?

if u battle a friend that has a pokemon that u dont have online will it update in ur pokedex? and if it does anyone have a manapy to battle to add it to my dex?|||yes i think because i battled a friend on crystal and his suicune was registered on my dex and I know there are probably a lot of people that have manaphys on wifi.|||no it wont but if u trade it and then trade it back then yea. but the way u say it then no|||wanna battle ?
