|||i think they get info from multipul sources, such as smaller yellow pages and they check them selfs, and it goes on and on. it doesnt update its self from web-crawlers like google..

Where do online yellow/white pages get their information?
Does anyone know where/how online yellow/white page websites such as dex.com and superpages.com get their information?|||Mostly from the phone companies. The information is publically available unless you ask to have your number unlisted. Yellow pages are an advertising medium so they will not list unless you pay for a business line and pay more for larger space.|||from the phone companies when local businesses or residents open up a local phone line. thats why cell phone are not in the directories.
